Multifaith Works

Synopsis: 
Multifaith Works AIDS CareTeams offer people of all faiths a common volunteer experience by providing practical support and friendship to people living with HIV/AIDS. Both volunteers and CarePartners (clients) report tremendous benefits through their involvement on CareTeams.

Multifaith Works builds a community of compassion by mobilizing volunteers from many spiritual and cultural backgrounds to provide practical and emotional support, and housing, for people living with
AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses. Through all its programs, Multifaith Works promotes understanding and acceptance of human diversity.

Multifaith Works Programs

Multifaith Works is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that provides housing and supportive services to people living with AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses, and community education
on issues of human diversity.

  • Seattle Shanti offers one-to-one emotional support to people living with HIV/AIDS or other life-threatening illnesses by providing active, non-judgmental listening and a comforting, sustaining relationship.
  • The AIDS CareTeam Program offers friendship and practical support to individuals and households living with AIDS.
  • Multifaith Housing Program provides supportive low-income housing to people living with AIDS and MS.
